Best Shoujo Anime I've Seen....

Hana Yori Dango!
English Title:  Boys Before Flowers

Hana Yori Dango is the second shoujo anime I watched and I fell in love with it!

To sum it up quickly... Poor Girl meets Rich Boy.  They fight.  Rich Boy falls in love with Poor Girl.  Rich Boy declares his feelings.  Poor Girl denies her feelings....how does it end???....Not like I had hoped.  LOL.

Despite the ending... This anime was a huge success in Japan and was later made into a live action drama in Korea and Japan.  The Korean drama of Boys Before Flowers can be viewed on Hulu (it is worth a look... I liked it alot).

If you want to see for yourself just how good this anime is visit YouTube.  If you want to read the manga they can be purchased at... RightStuf.com.

P.S.  Since my posts leave so little to be desired videos for Hana Yori Dango (Boys Before Flowers) have been posted above and "Teddy" is playing music...scratch that, as soon as I can load a player to this blog again music from the Original Soundtrack "Variations: Hana-Dan" will be added for your enjoyment.

Best Shounen Anime I Have Ever Seen....

DRAGON BALL SERIES (That Means Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT)

Why… This Anime was so GOOD even my family watched it with me… I can’t say that about any other series…. Seriously.

(Useless Fact:  Back when VHS tapes were popular... if you purchased the entire Dragon Ball series on VHS the spines of the covers combined to create a picture of the entire Dragon Ball Cast... pretty cool.)
Hulu features the Dragon Ball Z Series which is the SECOND installment of a 3 installment series (Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT).  The first episode is also available at the top of this blog.

P.S.  In case you are wondering Bleach, Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden were not chosen because their FILLERS did them in… Seriously.

Heard the Soundtrack... Watched the Anime

Available on Hulu
DVD and Manga Available at RightStuf
Soundtrack Available for Purchase at Yes Asia

For those who actively watch Anime you already know that most Anime series are accompanied by an Original Soundtrack (OST).  (^_^) Thank you JAPAN!

(I had no idea OST's were available until I started watching Naruto. I loved the music so much I hit up Google to see if a soundtrack was available...there was! LOL)

Anywho...When Anime became "stale" for me I began listening to OST's to gain interest in unfamiliar titles and that has paid off big time for me.

The Anime featured for this post is SOUL EATER because it is available for your viewing pleasure on Hulu (for free).  Oh and...select tracks from Soul Eater Soundtrack 1 & 2 are playing on the player.

The songs that were originally featured on the player are now available by clicking the link: Soul Eater
Enjoy!

Anime That Hooked Me To Manga

Scanlations Available on Manga Fox
 Anime Available on Hulu
Manga & Anime Available for Purchase at  RightStuf

His and Her Circumstances is an incomplete Anime series that I ENJOYED sooo much I bought the Manga as an impulse buy online the same day I viewed the last episode.

The Manga is entitled Kare Kano the abbreviated version of the Japanese title  Kareshi Kanojo no Jijō (彼氏彼女の事情) which translates in English to His and Her Circumstances.

I don't want to give the storyline away but if you think you may be interested in viewing His and Her Circumstances  Hulu offers the entire series free of charge.

As previously, mentioned this anime series is incomplete so if you are desperate to find out how the story ends read the manga. I guarantee it WILL NOT DISAPPOINT.

Manga Fox offers all 21 volumes on its website and they can also be purchased at Rightstuf.com for pretty dang cheap.  Seriously.

(Sidebar:  Rightstuf.com offers tons of discounts!  I saved 33% personally but if you still looking to save start at Vol. 8.  The anime ends somewhere around Vol. 7)

Thanks for reading.

B.T.W....There are 2 Soundtracks available for this Anime.  Both are pretty enjoyable to listen to and available for purchase at Rightstuf.com.  Act 1.0 Soundtrack 1 is available below if you would like to listen to it:

The first Anime I Remember Watching....

DVD and Manga Available for Purchase at RightStuf

I’m probably telling my age but I remember watching AKIRA on a late week night on cable’s Sci-Fi (now SyFy) channel.  My first impression was “Is this a cartoon!?” … I had no idea I was watching an anime movie from Japan.

As I watched all that went through my head was:  The detail is so real! he people have five fingers and they’re cursing!  LOL.

Thus my love for anime (and later manga) was born. (^_^)

If you've never seen AKIRA give it a look, however I must warn you… it is NOT for the squeamish. (AKIRA would have made for a decent live action movie...it's a shame it was canned.)

Thanks for reading.
